Killing my comfort zone - Radio show

Dear readers,

Today, I want to share with you some others experiences, about how EVS helped me even from the first days to get out of my comfort zone, and how this programme is giving me the opportunity to develop new competences, through activities that in a different environment I won't be able to achieve.

From my activity plan regarding my EVS, one part was dedicated to media and especially to take part in radio shows, which I have to use as a tool to inform and to spread Information about ERASMUS+, to talk about my origin country and culture. I would like also to underline that I did not had any other experiences like that before and taking part in the first show for me it was a bit scary, being

that my first time.

I am participating as a guest once or twice per week, at the radio Rodopi, which is a local Radio from Komotini with the frequency 95,5 FM.

Usually, the show I am preparing together with other local volunteers, that are also learning how to do it.

Our first topic was related to ERASMUS+ topic. We talked about what the programs means represents, a bit about the history of the programs, and I tried to explain why people are confusing ERASMUS+ with Erasmus Mundus. And I noticed this because all the time when i was interacting with the locals, by hearing the word Erasmus they were automatically assuming that i am a student that come here to study through this program. So during the show I tried to discuss about this. And to explain the differences.

Also on the next day on the radio Together with another EVS volunteer, Carolina, I meet an journalist from the local newspaper Paratiritis, we talked about our experiences here, about the opportunity that Erasmus can give to all.

I am sure that this is just the beginning, and that I still have many things to learn and to share with you.
